LEGAL NOTICE

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is offering for sale the following described real estate owned by The county of Lincoln, Nebraska:

1.            Lot Five (5) and the west 40 feet of the vacated street, Harrison Street, adjoining Lot Five (5) (see instrument No. 2002 05492, recorded at the Lincoln County Register of Deeds’ Office of Lincoln County, Nebraska), Block Eighteen (18), Original Town, Brady, Lincoln County, Nebraska. There is no street address to the description, but the vacated portion of Harrison Street lies south of the south line of River Street and the lot is on the west side of the vacated street and is the second to last lot on the vacated street when proceeding in a southerly direction.

2.            Lot Six (6) and the west 40 feet of the vacated street, Harrison Street, adjoining Lot Six (6) (see instrument No. 2002 05492, recorded at the Lincoln County Register of Deeds’ Office of Lincoln County, Nebraska), Block Eighteen (18), Original Town, Brady, Lincoln County, Nebraska. There is no street address to the description, but the vacated portion of Harrison Street lies south of the south line of River Street and the lot is on the west side of the vacated street and is the last lot on the vacated street when proceeding in a southerly direction.

The sale will be conducted through open bidding on Monday, May 13, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse, located at 301 North Jeffers Street, Suite 107A, North Platte, Nebraska. The fair market value set by the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is $360.00 for each parcel of real estate described above.   Each above described parcel of real estate shall be sold to the highest bidder, unless such bid is substantially lower than the fair market value — then the County Board may negotiate a contract for sale on the parcel or parcels of real estate where the highest bid was substantially lower than the fair market value.

If the county accepts the bid of the highest bidder, the highest bidder shall pay the full purchase price plus taxes due and owing on that parcel of real estate the day of the sale. Further, if the county accepts the highest bid, the county shall issue a quitclaim deed on that parcel of real estate to the highest bidder after complete payment on the above has been finalized.

Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on May 13, 2013 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

 

1.         Open with prayer

 

2.         Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting

held on May 6, 2013

 

3.         Consider the following:

  • Claims & Treasurer’ Receipts
  • Fee reports submitted by County Court, Register of Deeds, Clerk of District Court,

County Treasurer, County Sheriff and County Clerk

  • Authorize chairman to sign maintenance/support services agreement with WebGIS

for the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office

 

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

 

4.         9:15 A.M.       Discuss and consider the following:

  • Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting

held on May 6, 2013

  • Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor

 

Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
