Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners. Present were Commissioners Duane Deterding, Willis Roethemeyer, Joe Hewgley and County Clerk, Rebecca Rossell. Deterding offered prayer. Chairman Deterding called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M.

 

Chairman Deterding announced the Open Meeting Act with amendments is posted for public review and the county board will comply with the open meeting requirements.

 

Motion by Roethemeyer, seconded by Hewgley to approve the minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting held on May 19, 2014. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Roethemeyer, seconded by Hewgley to receive and order filed the treasurer’s receipts. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Roethemeyer, seconded by Hewgley to approve the addition and withdrawal of securities submitted by the County Treasurer at First National Bank. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Roethemeyer to approve and authorize the chairman to sign the right of way application submitted by Electric Rain. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Roethemeyer, seconded by Hewgley to approve and authorize the chairman to sign the right of way applications submitted by Beveridge Well Drilling Inc. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners recessed at 9:18 A.M. and the Lincoln County Board of Equalization convened.

County Assessor, Julie Stenger appeared.

 

Motion by Roethemeyer, seconded by Hewgley to approve the minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting held on May 19, 2014. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

No certificates of correction or refund submitted by the County Assessor.

 

The Lincoln County Board of Equalization adjourned at 9:19 A.M. and the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners reconvened.

 

Planning Director, Judy Clark, reported that planning staff had no objections to File No. SU14-004 as it met all regulations.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Roethemeyer to approve File No. SU14-004 an application submitted by Jack and Mary Gier for Whispering Hills Administrative Subdivision. The subdivision will reconfigure two lots in R-1 Rural Estates District. The property is located on Whispering Hills Road and West Correction Line Road and is described as Lot 1 Gier Administrative Subdivision and part of Tract 15 of Whispering Hills Subdivision in the E ½ of Section 4, Township 12 North, Range 31 West of the 6th P.M. Lincoln County, Nebraska and authorize the Chairman to sign the final plat.

Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Roethemeyer to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign an agreement for Services for Electrical Engineering and Architectural Consulting Services and Agreement for Services for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting Services from M.E. Group for HVAC Phase II Project and the Courthouse Electrical Project. Upon roll call vote Hewgley, Roethemeyer and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

IT Director, Les Green, made a request to purchase as new AS400 server to replace the current one. He will keep the old server as a backup. The cost of the server plus three years maintenance is $15,323.02.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Roethemeyer to approve the purchase of a new AS400 server and authorize the Chairman to sign the acceptance of quote from ACS Ltd for hardware and 3 years maintenance. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Roethemeyer to approve and set the date of June 23, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. to receive bids for a pre-engineered storage building for Lincoln County. Upon roll call vote Roethemeyer, Hewgley and Deterding voted “aye”. Nays, none.

Advance notice and the agenda for the May 27, 2014 was sent to the county board and all others requesting the same. Notice was posted at the Lincoln County Courthouse, City Hall and on the county website.

 

The agenda for the meetings to be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 will be kept continually current and open for inspection at the office of the Lincoln County Clerk. The regular meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will be at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:00 A.M. The regular meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization will be at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
