Special meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners to be held on August 30, 2017 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 1:00 P.M.

 

  1. 1:00 P.M. Discuss and consider a Memorandum of Understanding between The county of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska, and Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), a public corporation and political subdivision of the State of Nebraska, concerning the County leasing land for a trail (approximately 0.6 miles long) from NPPD, which is in regards to the County applying for a federally funded grant through the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission “Recreational Trails Program” that would be used for the “Lake Maloney Hiking and Biking Trail, Phase IV,” so that such trail could take place.

 

Discuss and consider acceptance of commitment from Mid-Nebraska

Community Foundation regarding matching funds to the project known as “Lake

Maloney Hiking and Biking Trail, Phase IV.”

 

Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska, the

recipient, into an Escrow Agreement with Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation, the

contributor, and Title Services of the Plains, LLC, the escrow agent, for the purpose

of the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation contributing matching funds to the

Project known as “Lake Maloney Hiking and Biking Trail, Phase IV,” if the County

is awarded a grant for said project by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission

and the County accepts the grant.  A copy of the escrow agreement is available at

the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for inspection.

 

Discuss and consider passing a Resolution for the purpose of The county of Lincoln,

in the State of Nebraska, applying for a federal grant under the Nebraska Game and

Parks Commission Recreational Trails Program, Project Title of the County’s project

being Lake Maloney Hiking and Biking Trail, Phase IV. A copy of the Resolution is

available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for public inspection.
