Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on July 15, 2019 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

 

  1. Open with prayer

 

  1. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting held July 8, 2019

 

  1. Consider the following:
  • Claims & Treasurer’s Receipts
  • Fee reports submitted by County Sheriff and County Treasurer
  • Authorize Chairman to sign food service contract with CBM Managed Services for the Detention Center.

 

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

  1. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
  • Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting held on July 8, 2019
  • Certificates of Correction and Refund as submitted by the County Assessor
  • Late filing of homestead exemption for Peter J. Kopecky

 

Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

 

5.  9:25 A.M. Discuss and consider special designated liquor license application submitted by Switchyard Grill & Pub Inc. for an event on August 1, 2019 at Harbor Lights.

submitted by North Platte Kids Academy for an event on August 8, 2019 at Harbor Lights.

 

  1. 9:45 A.M. Discuss and consider special designed liquor license application submitted by Big Red Liquor for an event on July 27, 2019 at Harbor Lights.

 

  1. 9:50 A.M. Presentation by the Nebraska Auditors of Public Accounts office on attestation of the Lincoln County Treasurer’s Offiice

 

Discuss and consider receiving and order filed in the County Clerk’s Office the State of Nebraska Auditor’s Office Report on the attestation            concerning the Lincoln County Treasurer’s Office, if necessary

 

  1. 9:55 A.M. Closed session concerning strategy session regarding pending and imminent litigation and to protect attorney client privilege, which is clearly necessary to protect the public interest.

 

  1. 10:00 A.M. Conduct a hearing under Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-1603 to determine if the Lincoln County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) neglected or refused to render any account or settlement required by law, failed or neglected to account for any account or settlement required by law, failed or neglected to account for any balance due the state, county, township, school district, or any other misconduct in office, on or about January 3, 2019 to May 13, 2019.

 

If the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners (Board) determines that the Lincoln County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) committed one or more of the violations (misconduct in office) stated in Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-1603, the Board shall discuss and consider whether or not to remove the Lincoln County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) from office.
