MEETING MINUTES

December 10, 2018
11:00 A.M.

Present were Lincoln County Attorney, Rebecca Harling; Lincoln County Treasurer, Sue Fleck; and Lincoln County Clerk, Rebecca Rossell.

Lincoln County Attorney, Rebecca Harling stated that the committee will follow the Open Meetings Act. A current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the Commissioner’s Room at the entrance.

Roll call was taken. Harling, Fleck and Rossell were present.

Motion by Harling, seconded by Fleck to approve the agenda for 12-10-2018 meeting. Upon roll call vote Harling, Fleck and Rossell voted “aye”. Nays, none.

Motion by Fleck, seconded by Harling to approve the minutes regarding the meeting held by the Lincoln County Clerk, Lincoln County Attorney and Lincoln County Treasurer held on December 6, 2018. Upon roll call vote Harling, Fleck and Rossell voted “aye”. Nays, none.

The following individuals were interviewed for District 4 Commissioner:
Mark Stinson
Walter Johnson
Dwight Thompson

Motion by Harling, seconded by Fleck to change the order of the interviews for Commissioner District 5 as we were ahead of schedule. Upon roll call vote Harling, Fleck and Rossell voted “aye”. Nays, none.

The following individuals were interviewed for District 5 Commissioner:

Jerry L. Woodruff
Bill Kleinow
Rod Rayburn – Appeared via phone

Committee members discussed the applicants interviewed for Commissioner District 4.

Motion by Fleck, seconded by Harling to appoint Walter Johnson to fill the vacancy on the Board of Lincoln County Commissioners in District 4 of the five County Commissioner Districts of The county of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska. Upon roll call vote Harling, Fleck and Rossell voted “aye”. Nays, none.

Committee members discussed the applicants interviewed for Commissioner District 5.

Motion by Fleck, seconded by Harling to appoint Jerry L. Woodruff to fill the vacancy on the Board of Lincoln County Commissioners in District 5 of the five County Commissioner Districts of The county of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska. Upon roll call vote Harling, Fleck and Rossell voted “aye”. Nays, none.

Chairman Harling announced that on December 17, 2018 at 8:45 A.M., the appointed Commissioners for District 4 and District 5 will be sworn in at the Lincoln County Commissioners Room. Refreshments will be served following the swearing in.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 P.M.

Advance public notice (includes agenda) of the Lincoln County Clerk, Lincoln County Attorney and the Lincoln County Treasurer meeting was provided to the Committee members and posted at the Lincoln County Courthouse, City Hall and the Lincoln County Website on December 6, 2018; and was also emailed to the media on December 6, 2018.

This was the final meeting for County Commissioner District 4 and District 5 selection committee.
