Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on August 4, 2014 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
1. Open with prayer
2. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting
held on July 28, 2014
3. Consider the following:
- Claims & Treasurer’ Receipt
- Resolution directing the County Treasurer to issue tax sale certificates to Lincoln
County on those parcels which are two years delinquent on real estate or
special assessments
Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.
4. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
- Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting
held on July 28, 2014
- Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
- Motor vehicle tax exemption application
- Letter of explanation for late filing of a homestead exemption application
- Notice of valuation changes as submitted by the County Assessor
Recess or adjourn to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

5. 9:20 A.M. Discuss and consider authorizing the Chairman to sign the annual
County Attorney Support Enforcement Subgrant Agreement
6. 9:30 A.M. Susan Maline, CPA to present the 2014/2015 preliminary Lincoln
County budget document
7. 9:45 A.M. Discuss and consider mini-grant application to be submitted to
the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for the Sheriff’s Office
8. 10:00 A.M. Discuss and consider declaring scrap iron located at the
Lincoln County Department of Roads, to be surplus property, which is obsolete
or unusable by the County
Discuss and consider what value to place on the surplus property (scrap iron)
located at the Lincoln County Department of Roads
Discuss and consider selling the surplus property (scrap iron) to Alter Metals
for $140 per ton, contingent on the total value of the surplus property (scrap iron)
being under $2,500
9. 10:15 A.M. Discuss and consider granting permission to have the Boy Scouts
place a reproduction of a Lincoln Highway concrete marker near the soldier
statue along Fort McPherson Road south of Maxwell
10. 12:00 P.M. Meet with elected officials and department heads
