Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on August 31, 2015 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
1. Open with prayer
2. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting
held August 24, 2015
3. Consider the following:
- Claims & Treasurer’s Receipt
- Fee report submitted by the County Sheriff
Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.
4. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
- Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting
held on August 24, 2015
- Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
- Protest of rejection of homestead exemption
- Closed session regarding a strategy session concerning pending litigations and to protect attorney client privilege, which is clearly necessary to protect the public interest.
Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
5. 9:30 A.M. Discuss and consider special designated liquor license submitted by Lincoln County Historical Society for an event to be held on September 19, 2015 at the Lincoln County Historical Museum.
6. 9:40 A.M. Discuss and consider a Memorandum of Understanding between The County of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska, and Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), a public corporation and political subdivision of the State of Nebraska concerning the County leasing land for a trail (1.2 miles long) from NPPD, which is in regards to the County applying for a federally funded grant through the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission “Recreational Trails Program” that would be used for the “Lake Maloney Hiking and Biking Trail, Phase 2,” so that such trail could take place. A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for Public Inspection.
Discuss and consider passing Resolution No. 2015-15 for the purpose of The county of Lincoln, in the State of Nebraska, applying for a federal grant under the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Recreational Trails Program, Project Title of the County’s project being Lake Maloney Hiking and Biking Trial, Phase 2. A copy of the Resolution is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for Public Inspection.
Discuss and consider giving authority to the Chairman of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners to sign a letter requesting a Waiver Request for the County, asking for an additional $10,000.00 over the $250,000.00 maximum allowed in the federal grant under the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Recreational Trails Program. A copy of the letter is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for Public Inspection.
7. 10:00 A.M. A joint public hearing with Frontier County Commissioners to consider a joint resolution of the City of Curtis, Frontier County, Nebraska and the Curtis Rural Fire Protection District, Frontier county and Lincoln County, Nebraska providing for the inclusion of the territory of the incorporated area of the City of Curtis, Frontier County, Nebraska within the Curtis Rural Fire Protection District pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 35-530, et. seq.; at which meeting the County Commissioners shall determin whether to approve the inclusion of the City of Curtis, Frontier County, Nebraska into the Curtis Rural Fire Protection District; whether the proposed District is suited to the general fire protection policy of the Counties: to determine the boundaries of the Curtis Rural Fire Protection District; and to take such other steps as maybe required or authorized by law for said purpose.

9. 10:45 A.M. Discuss and consider approval of 2015 Lincoln County Inventory documents for all county offices.
