Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on April 3, 2017 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

  1. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting

held March 27, 2017

  1. Consider the following:
  • Claims & Treasurer’s Receipts
  • Authorizing the Chairman to sign Lincoln County Victim Witness Unit Grant Award, Subgrant Special Conditions & the EEOP Certification Form
  • Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, into a contract with Western Engineering Company, Inc., in regards to an Asphalt Concrete Paving Project on Cottonwood Road and Banner Road for the Lincoln County Roads Department, Project Number LCDOR 2017-1, and authorize the Lincoln County Board Chairman to sign the written contract for The county of Lincoln, Nebraska. A copy of said proposed contract is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for public inspection.
  • Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, into a contract with Martin Resource Management Corporation d/b/a Monarch Oil Company in regards to a Micro-Surfacing Project on Hershey-Dickens Road, South Dickens Road, and Eshleman Road for the Lincoln County Roads Department, Project Number LCDOR 2017-2, and authorized the Lincoln County Board Chairman to sign the written contract for The county of Lincoln, Nebraska. A copy of said proposed contract is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for public inspection.
  • Special Designated Liquor License application submitted by Sculley LLC for receptions on: September 16, 2017 at the Fairgrounds, July 1, 2017 and October 7, 2017 at Creekside

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

  1. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
  • Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting

held on March 20, 2017

  • Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
  • Motor vehicle tax exemption applications
  • Valuation change notices submitted by County Assessor

Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

  1. 9:30 A.M. Appoint a Lincoln County Commissioner to represent the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners in negotiations with NEBCON, Inc., and other parties involved in the replacement of the Lincoln County Courthouse Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system; and any proposed agreement from the negotiations would be subject to approval of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

6. 9:45 A.M.     Closed session concerning strategy session regarding pending litigations and to protect the attorney client privilege, which is clearly necessary to protect the public interest.
