Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners. Present were Commissioners Duane Deterding, Bill Henry, Joe Hewgley and Deputy County Clerk, Terry Heessel.  Deterding offered prayer. Chairman Henry called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M.

 

Chairman Henry announced the Open Meeting Act with amendments is posted for public review and the county board will comply with the open meeting requirements.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Deterding to approve the minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting held on March 20, 2017. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

Motion by Deterding, seconded by Hewgley to receive and order filed the treasurer’s receipts. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

Motion by Deterding, seconded by Hewgley to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the right of way permit submitted by Dawson Public Power District Lexington NE.  Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Deterding to receive and order filed the fee report submitted by County Sheriff. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Deterding to adopt Resolution 2017-08 update posting of the Discrimination Complaint Procedures regarding Allegations of Discrimination in Federally Assisted Programs or Activities. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

Motion by Deterding, seconded by Hewgley to adopt Resolution 2017-09 that adopts and enacts an updated “Equal Employment Opportunity Plan”. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners recessed at 9:15 A.M. and the Lincoln County Board of Equalization convened.

County Assessor, Julie Stenger appeared.

 

Motion by Deterding, seconded by Hewgley to approve the minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting held on March 20, 2017. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”. Nays, none.

 

Motion by Hewgley, seconded by Deterding to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the certificates of correction or refund submitted by the County Assessor. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

 

The Lincoln County Board of Equalization adjourned at 9:17 A.M. and the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners reconvened.

 

Sheriff Jerome Kramer and Lieutenant Dan Newton appeared to request setting a date to accept bids on a ¾ ton pickup for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. There will be a trade in of a 2007 Chevrolet Impala.

 

Motion by Deterding, seconded by Hewgley to set April 17, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. to accept bids on a new ¾ ton pickup for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. Upon roll call vote Deterding, Hewgley and Henry voted “aye”.  Nays, none.

Advance notice and the agenda for the March 27, 2017 board meetings were sent to the county board and all others requesting the same. Advance public notice (includes agenda) of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting and the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting was posted at the Lincoln County Courthouse, City Hall and the Lincoln County website on March 24, 2017; and was also emailed to the media on March 24, 2017.

 

The agenda for the meetings to be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 will be kept continually current and open for inspection at the office of the Lincoln County Clerk. The regular meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will be at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:00 A.M.  The regular meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization will be at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
