Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on May 20, 2019 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

- Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting
held May 13, 2019
- Consider the following:
- Claims & Treasurer’s Receipts
- Right of way permit submitted by Great Plains Communications
- Receive and order filed the fee report submitted by the County Sheriff
- Authorizing the Chairman to sign the Blue Cross/Blue Shield health and dental
subgroup insurance application effective July 1, 2019
Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.
- 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
- Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting
held on May 13, 2019
- Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
- 10:00 A.M. Conduct a hearing under Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-1603 to determine if the
Lincoln County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) neglected or refused to render any account
or settlement required by law, failed or neglected to account for any account or
settlement required by law, failed or neglected to account for any balance due the
state, county, township, school district, or any other misconduct in office, on or about
January 3, 2019, to May 13, 2019.
- If the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners (Board) determines that the Lincoln
County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) committed one or more of the violations (misconduct
in office) stated in Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-1603, the Board shall discuss and consider
whether or not to remove the Lincoln County Treasurer (Lorie Koertner) from office.
- If applicable, accept resignation/declination of Sue Fleck in regards to her appointment on May 13, 2019, to perform the duties of the Lincoln County Treasurer as described in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 23-1603.
- If applicable, discuss and consider appointing a replacement to Sue Fleck to perform the duties of the Lincoln County Treasurer as described in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 23-1603.
- Discuss and consider requesting the Nebraska State Auditor to continue to perform
an attestation of the Lincoln County Treasurer’s Office.
