NOTICE OF HEARING AND AGENDA
Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
1. Open with prayer
2. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners
meeting held on July 25, 2011
3. Consider the following:
v Claims and Treasurer’s Receipts
v Fee report submitted by the County Sheriff
v Adoption of a resolution directing the County Treasurer to issue
tax sale certificates on those parcels which there are two years
delinquent real estate taxes or assessments
v Granting authority to the Chairman of the Lincoln County Board
of Commissioners to sign the Real Estate Transfer statement
regarding the Deed of Correction executed by Arline Kumor and
accepted by Lincoln County, Nebraska, on July 25, 2011. A copy
of said deed of correction, which includes a complete legal
description, is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for
public inspection.
v Withdrawal of securities by NebraskaLand National Bank as pledged
to the Lincoln County Clerk
Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.
4. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
v Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization
meeting held on July 25, 2011
v Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
v Motor vehicle tax exemption applications
v Notice of valuation changes as submitted by the County Assessor
Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
5. 9:30 A.M. Susan Maline, CPA, to present 2011/2012 fiscal year Preliminary
Budget for Lincoln County, NE
6. 10:00 A.M. Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln into the
following contract, and giving authority to the Chairman of the Lincoln
County Board of Commissioners to sign the below contract concerning
the construction of a new viaduct in Lincoln County (Front Road Grade
Separation), Project No. RRZ-1390(3), and State Control No. 61416, to wit:
v Partial Acquisition Contract with Dawson County Public Power
District purchasing certain real estate owned by Dawson County
Public Power District for $860.00. The real estate is located in
Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 31 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, in the County of Lincoln, Nebraska. A copy
of said contract is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office
for public inspection.
7. 10:10 A.M. Discuss and consider entering into a contract with Linda
Johnson in which she agrees to do oral/sign languages for The county
of Lincoln when requested by the County. A copy of the contract is
available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for public inspection.
8. 11:00 A.M. Discuss and consider resolution authorizing the Series 2008
General Obligation Bonds to be called for early redemption
Discuss and consider resolution authorizing the issuance of General
Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2011
