Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on July 28, 2014 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.
1. Open with prayer
2. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting
held on July 21, 2014
3. Consider the following:
- Claims & Treasurer’ Receipt
- Right of Way application submitted by Great Plains Communications
- Fee report submitted by Lincoln County Sheriff
- Special designated liquor permit submitted by Sculleys LLC for a reception at the
Lincoln County Fairgrounds on August 23, 2014
Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.
4. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
- Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting
held on July 21, 2014
- Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
- Notice of valuation changes as submitted by the County Assessor
- Letter of explanation for late filing of 2014 Homestead Exemption application
- Exemption application on real property submitted by Cornerstone Church
of North Platte
Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
5. 9:30 A.M. A. Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, into
an Acquisition Contract with the State of Nebraska, Department of Roads, for right
of way purposes and temporary easement regarding road construction on State
Highway 83, effecting the Lincoln County Courthouse property, located in North Platte
Lincoln County, Nebraska, in regards to Project No.: 83-2(128), CN.:61359, Tract
No. 10. A copy of said Acquisition Contract, which includes legal description of the
real estate, is available at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office.
B. Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, into an Acquistion
Contract with the State of Nebraska, Department of Roads, for right of way purposes
and temporary easement regarding road construction on State Highway 83, effecting
Lincoln County property where the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Center,
and parking lot are located in North Platte, Lincoln County, Nebraska, in regards to
Project No.: 83-2(128), CN.: 61359, Tract No.7. A copy of said Acquisition Contract,
which includes legal description of the real estate, is available at the Lincoln County
Clerk’s Office.
C. Discuss and consider adopting a Resolution giving the Chairman of the Lincoln
County Board authority to sign for the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners as the
authorized representative of The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, documents necessary
to convey title(s) to The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, properties (real estate) for
highway purposes concerning State Highway 83 to the State of Nebraska, Department
of Roads, as per Acquisition Contracts, concerning Project No.: 83-2(128),
CN.:61359, Tract No. 10, and Project No.: 83-2(128), CN.: 61359, Tract No. 7.
D. Discuss and consider receiving informal bids for relocation of monument and
the United States Flag and other flags (if necessary) located at the northwest
corner Lincoln County Courthouse, Jeffers Street and 4th Street intersection, North
Platte, Lincoln County, Nebraska.
6. 9:45 A.M. Discuss and consider a ten year Sublease Agreement for office space
between K S Plus, Inc., a Nebraska Corporation, and The county of Lincoln,
Nebraska – North Platte/Lincoln County Visitors Bureau, North Platte, Nebraska, and
authorize Chairman to sign. It is a tract of land located in Lot 1 and lands accreted
to Lot 1 in Section 9, Township 13 North, Range 30 West of the 6th P.M., in
Lincoln County, Nebraska containing 0.91 acres, more or less, otherwise known as
101 Halligan Drive, North Platte Nebraska.
7. 9:55 A.M. Discuss and consider approval of the by-laws for North Platte/
Lincoln County Visitors Bureau
8. 10:00 A.M. Discuss and consider the 3 year food service renewal with CBM for
jail food service
9. 10:15 A.M. Lincoln County Assessor, Julie Stenger, to present the 3 year Plan
of Assessment update for Lincoln County 2014.
10. 10:30 A.M. Discuss and consider hiring an attorney to investigate an employment
matter concerning the County and having such attorney confer with Lincoln County
Attorney’s Office in such investigation.
