Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on April 24, 2017 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

  1. Open with prayer
  2. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting

held April 17, 2017

  1. Consider the following:
  • Claims & Treasurer’s Receipts
  • approval of surveillance system upgrade with Hinton’s Lock & Alarm
  • adoption of a resolution for Federal Air Project No HRRR-56(37) (Installation of Advanced Railroad Pavement markings
  • Receive and order filed the fee report submitted by the County Sheriff
  • Right of way application submitted by Dawson Public Power District
  • Discuss and consider entering The county of Lincoln, Nebraska, into an agreement with Capital City Concepts, LLC, to conduct a wage and benefit comparability study for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

  1. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
  • Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting

held on April 17, 2017

  • Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
  • Withdrawal of Tax Status Valuation Protest submitted by Central Nebraska Public Power District

 

Recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

  1. 9:20 A.M. Discuss and consider informal quotes to purchase AED’s for Lincoln County
  2. 9:30 A.M. Public Hearing on the application submitted by Pals Brewing Company

LLC dba Pals Brewing Company for a Class K (Catering) added to the Liquor License

Consider action following public hearing

  1. 9:45 A.M. Discuss and consider authorizing the Chairman to sign the 2017-2019 VOCA (Victim/Witness) grant application

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

  1. 10:00 A.M. Discuss and consider protests of Assessors Determination that property held by the Nebraska Cooperative Republican Platte Enhancement Project (N-CORPE) is taxable
  2. 11:30 A.M. Closed session concerning strategy session regarding pending litigations       and to protect the attorney client privilege, which is clearly necessary to protect the public interest
  3. 11:40 A.M. Discuss and consider appointing a member of the Lincoln County Board of    Equalization to speak on behalf of the Board’s position (to be determine herein) during the State of    Nebraska Equalization Show Cause Hearing regarding the Lincoln County Assessor’s certified 2017 Agricultural Land Values, in particular the grass land values in Market Area 2 and 3.

Adjourn as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
